MEET AN ENGINEER AT THE NORTHEAST BRANCH

Teens who are interested in engineering can meet with the University of Washington’s Engineering Ambassadors for an in-depth look at the field of engineering from 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, May 6 at the Northeast Branch, 6801 35th Ave. N.E., 206-684-7539.

The event is free and everyone is welcome. No registration is required. Free parking is available in the branch parking lot.

Engineering Ambassadors from the UW will present information on different careers and programs in engineering. Attendees will learn about the different types of engineering, career opportunities, college majors and the general college preparation and application process. Following the presentation, there will be a hands-on, interactive activity to demonstrate the many ways Ambassadors have used their engineering skills.
